Splitscreen Create account
Early access · 18+ · gamertag first

Find gamers to play with — your squad, your people, your Player 2.

Splitscreen matches you on the games you play, the rank you play them at, and the hours you're actually online. Your gamertag comes first — your real name stays yours until you decide otherwise.

Voice built in every squad gets a room

Nobody here starts with your real name.

Every other app opens with an identity. Splitscreen opens with what you play. A profile is a gamertag, three lines you wrote yourself, and the games you actually put hours into.

What you look like, what you do for work and what your name is are yours to hand over, to whoever you choose, whenever you choose. Nothing here rushes you.

01 — the three rooms

One account, three rooms

You choose which rooms open.

Dating stays off until you switch it on. Open only what you came for — teammates for tonight, people to know for longer, or someone to spend the evening with.

Find your squad

Teammates matched on game, rank, mode, region and how you actually like to communicate.

  • Hosts set criteria, not favourites. Meet them and the seat is yours instantly — no application, no vetting, no waiting to be picked.
  • The board only offers seats you could take. Where a squad would turn you away it names the criterion that did it, rather than letting you apply into a wall.
  • Voice is built in. Every squad gets a room — live only, never recorded, and no third-party invite link to chase.
  • A mic is optional, and it is stated up front. Squads say whether they want voice always, sometimes, or not at all, so a text-only night is a filter instead of an argument.
  • Squads are listed by when they form, because overlapping play windows do more of the matching than anything else on your profile.

Voice included · unlimited squads

Dating

Find your Player 2

Match with gamers who share your games and your late nights.

  • A finite daily set. The deck is ranked, capped at a hundred decisions a day, and then it is done — a shortlist, not an endless queue.
  • Ranked on mutual fit, not on who you're most likely to swipe. You each have to be inside the other's age range before either of you appears.
  • A pass is not forever. Profiles you passed on come back after thirty days, so the pool never only shrinks.
  • Nobody can message you until you have both said yes. After that either of you can open it — there is no waiting for permission.
  • Text only, by construction. There is nowhere on Splitscreen to attach an image, so nobody can send you one.
  • Unanswered matches expire after 24 hours. Once you have both said something, the clock stops for good.

02 — the catalogue

Twenty-two titles, one board

Whatever you're queuing for.

Pick your games when you sign up and the board fills with squads in them. Each one carries its own rank bands and modes, so an Immortal Valorant stack and a Sunday Minecraft world are never the same listing.

  • Valorant
  • Apex Legends
  • Counter-Strike 2
  • Overwatch
  • Helldivers 2
  • Marvel Rivals
  • League of Legends
  • Dota 2
  • Deadlock
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • Call of Duty
  • Fortnite
  • Rocket League
  • Destiny 2
  • Deep Rock Galactic
  • Monster Hunter Wilds
  • Sea of Thieves
  • Phasmophobia
  • Lethal Company
  • Palworld
  • Minecraft
  • Among Us

The catalogue grows with the people in it. If the game you live in isn't here, tell us which one and it goes on the list.

03 — safety

Built in, not bolted on

Safety is never the upsell.

Some of it is structural and cannot be got wrong — no real-name field, no photograph outside Dating, no room that opens before the age check. The rest is switches, they are on your account page from the day you join, and they are free. That is not the part of Splitscreen we would ever sell.

Free

Block & report

One screen from any profile. Blocking is instant, needs no reason, and hides you from each other both ways. Reporting is the separate half, and a moderator reads it.

Free

Incognito browsing

A one-way mirror: you leave everyone else's dating deck and keep your own. Nobody can like you while it is on, so no match forms behind your back.

Free

Hide where you are

Takes your region off your profile card. Matching still uses it, which is the only thing it was collected for — you just stop announcing it.

By design

Little to upload, little to leak

No real name asked for anywhere, no attachment on a message, and no camera check on the way in. Photographs exist in Dating and nowhere else: they are stripped of the location your phone wrote into them, they are never public, and they are served only to people allowed to see them.

04 — getting in

Six steps, about five minutes

Signing up is the interview.

Everything we ask is a matching signal. Nothing we ask is your real name.

  1. Pick your gamertag

That is your name here, on every screen, to everyone. Your legal name is never requested and never shown.

  2. Confirm you're 18 or over

Your date of birth, checked on our servers rather than in the browser — no camera, no photograph, no document. Splitscreen is 18+ across all three rooms, with no exceptions, and your date of birth is never shown on your profile.

  3. Link Steam, or skip it

Signing in through Steam proves the account is yours — Steam confirms it to us directly, so nobody can claim one they don't have. Genuinely optional, and it isn't a rank check: Steam doesn't hold a rank.

  4. Say what you play, and what for

Your games and your rank in the competitive ones, then your rooms — teammates, friends, dating, or any combination. Dating stays off unless you switch it on.

  5. Say when you actually play

Weeknights after eleven is a matching signal, not a confession. Overlapping windows are most of what makes a squad work.

  6. Say three things

Three short lines in your own words, from prompts you pick. There is no photo step here — photographs belong to Dating, and only if you want them.

05 — questions

Straight answers

The things people ask first.

What is Splitscreen?

A social platform for finding people to play games with. One account opens three rooms: Groups for squads and LFG, Social for communities and their weekly game nights, and Dating for finding a Player 2. Matching runs on the games you play, the rank you play them at, the hours you're online and how you like to communicate — not on a photograph. It is 18+ and currently in early access.

Do I have to upload a photo?

No. Photographs live in Dating and nowhere else, and they are optional even there — you can be in the deck without one. Groups and Social show a monogram, and your first photo only follows you into them if you switch it on. A profile is a gamertag, the games you play and three lines you wrote about yourself.

Is Splitscreen free?

Yes. Creating an account, joining squads, voice, communities, messaging and every safety control are free, and there is nothing to buy on Splitscreen today. If anything paid ever arrives it will be extras on top — never blocking, reporting, incognito or hiding your location, and never the age check.

How is this different from a Discord LFG server?

A server is one chat you have to scroll, and being early to it is most of what decides whether you get a spot. Splitscreen matches instead: squads carry a game, rank band, mode, region, start time and mic preference, and the board only offers you seats you actually qualify for. Voice is on the squad rather than an invite link, and the age gate and moderation are the platform's job rather than a volunteer's.

I only want teammates. Do I have to use the dating side?

No. Dating is off by default and stays off until you deliberately switch it on. Pick Groups on its own, or Groups and Social, and change your mind later in your account settings.

Which games can I find a squad for?

Twenty-two titles today, including Valorant, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Overwatch, Helldivers 2, Marvel Rivals, League of Legends, Dota 2, Deadlock, Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty, Fortnite, Rocket League, Destiny 2, Deep Rock Galactic, Monster Hunter Wilds, Sea of Thieves, Phasmophobia, Lethal Company, Palworld, Minecraft and Among Us. Competitive titles carry their own rank bands; the ones that don't rank you simply don't ask.

Do I need a microphone?

No. Every squad has a voice room, but each one states whether it wants voice always, sometimes, or not at all, and that is a filter on the board — so a text-only night is something you can search for rather than something you have to negotiate.

Who can message me?

Only someone you matched with — you both said yes, independently, and that match is the only thing that can create a thread. From there either of you may speak first. If neither of you does within 24 hours the match expires; once you have both said something it stops expiring. Text only, because there is nowhere on Splitscreen to attach anything else.

How do you keep the rooms 18+?

Every account gives a date of birth before a single room opens, and the check runs on our servers rather than in the browser, so it is not something a page can be edited past. After that, accounts carry standing that reflects how you behave, and moderators act on it.

Is Splitscreen available where I am?

It is early access, and it works anywhere — Groups and Social do not care where you are. Dating is only ever as good as who is near you, so expect it to feel thin in some places until more people are in it.

Your people are already online.

Pick a gamertag, clear the age gate, and open the rooms you came for.
